Hi does anyone know what this is
I just asked as I have built a new system for a friend and when installing the ram we have this problem
With 1 stick of ram it fires up and works but with 2 sticks in dim1 and 2 it will not and it comes up with unganged.
We have tried it with 1 stick in dim 3 and it works and 2 stick in dim 3 and 4 and same proble .
This is with the voltage set at 1.65 any ideas.
These are the componants for the system below
Samsung 1TB Spinpoint F3 SATA II 7200RPM 32M
AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHZ Black Edition
OCZ 4G(2x2G) DDR3 1866Mhz Gold PC15000 (OCZ3G1866LV4GK) x 2 sets
Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H AM3 AMD890GX 4DDR3 2PCIE2.0 RAID GLAN 3FW SATA
SourceJust some info for you guys.
ganged mode is 1x128bit dual channel
unganged is 2x64 bit dual channel
From what I have been reading the voltage should be 1.5 volts.

Maybe you have to set it to ganged or unganged in your BIOS.
It says that this ram to work at 1866 the voltage should be set ar 1.65 and that it should run as unganged
We have also tried a set of 2 1333 sticks set at 1.5 and again only 1 stick will work and not 2 sticks in any combination the same as the 1866
It sounds like a setting in your BIOS is not quite right or one of your slots is bad or the memory controller. OCZ has a forum and they do provide tech support.
