Ok, so we have the cheesiest movies ever seen, so I figured we should have the best horror movie thread.

As alot of you know I seem to tend more towards the cheesier genre in movies, but I do in fact have a couple favorite scary movies that I at least don't think are cheesy. No I won't post about Project: Metalbeast. Because even I KNOW that was cheesy.

One of my favorite horror movies is a movie called Daybreakers.

Now let's get the ball rolling.

Psycho - the original with Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins.

It's full of suspense and surprise. Blood and gore don't do a thing for me when it comes to horror movies.

Psycho is a thriller, not technically horror. Blood and gore is also not technically horror. What I am looking for here is movies that are classified as horror.

The Legend of Hell House when I was a kid it scared the bejesus out of me. I also thought Jacob's Ladder was excellent because of the end.

Horror - as defined by Wiktionary:
    Noun
    horror (plural horrors)
    1. An intense painful emotion of fear or repugnance.
    2. An intense dislike or aversion; an abhorrence.
    3. A literary genre, generally of a gothic character.
    4. (The horrors, informal) An intense anxiety or a nervous depression.
Etymology: From Latin horror (“‘a bristling, a shaking, trembling as with cold or fear, terror’”) < horrere (“‘to bristle, shake, be terrified’”).

For the movie that really gives me the "creeps" and left a lasting impression: NOSFERATU The silent one from 1921
