ALL new Windows 7 build leaks and rumors go in THIS topic. If a build is proven to be real and admins/mods feel it should have its own topic, we will move it.

With RTM around the corner and being released shortly I see no reason to plaster the site with rumors or repetitive info about builds.

All RTM discussion goes HERE until further notice.

Thanks for understanding and helping keep the site organized for a better browsing experience.

It seems that WZor has made a post about another build which is 7269, the string is 6.1.7269.win7_rtm.090706-1900. Currently the site is down as I have tried using this website. This build was compiled 6th of July 2009 which was not too far back. With some rumours that RTM will be showcased/announced in the WPC Convention 2009, we are getting very close. In this few days, we will just have to wait patiently until July13th. I still don’t think RTM would be build 7300. Patients…

Just noticed a statement at the top of the page:
In anticipation of the release of the final Windows 7 version and serious collision yesterday at Microsoft we are forced to temporarily remove all the surplus that can be put away at this critical moment to free our resources.
Starting today (09.07.09) we stand up to round-the-clock vigil at the assembly shop at Microsoft to monitor the situation.
Any changes we will inform you immediately ....

The following was released today on GeekSmack:

Initially, we reported that the RTM build was going to be officially signed off and announced on July 13th. At the time, Windows 7 was proceeding on schedule and several internal sources in Microsoft both close to GeekSmack and other sites have told us that the RTM was in fact coming on July 13th. However, it seems like due to several show stopper bugs, one that we think has to do with activation, the RTM build has been delayed from the initial date.
Today was pretty much the deadline that Microsoft internally set to choose and decide on an RTM build, but from what we’re now hearing none of the builds thus far have been deemed good enough, and so they’re continuing to compile RTM candidate builds. Backing this, in the recent Microsoft press release regarding the executive re-shuffle, they stated this: “The transition between Reller and Veghte is timed to take place in late July when Windows 7 reaches the release to manufacturing (RTM) milestone”.
Again, when we initially reported on the matter, internal sources and other forms of evidence led us to believe that the RTM was coming, and I can safely say that at the time it was confirmed and it was going to happen, but with these new show-stopper bugs present Microsoft had to make a change to the roadmap to accommodate the time it will take to iron them out.
