My Views On The RTM Leak Date
  1. #1
Just recently I made a post about Windows 7 Upgrade Programs & Pricing Aas Announced and Windows 7 Box Art In Hands. Microsoft had also announced their upcoming Operating System, Windows 7 release date which is on October 22nd. WZor says the they will sign off of Windows 7 RTM on July 13th. Neowin says it would be on June 26th which is today and finally WinFuture.de said it would be on June 29th. Well, what ever it is, Windows 7 will be singed off on July 13th because that was the latest date provided by the three most well know site which has most of the best sources. Wzor has already made a mistake once about the sign off, the question is, “Could he be wrong again?”. NeoWin on the other hand stated that the Upgrade Programs will start on 26th June which was correct but NeoWin also stated that RTM will be signed off on July 26th which could still be right. A sign off doesn’t mean that it would be leaked the same day, maybe after a few days. I going to give my views on when the RTM would be leaked, which is 20th July. WZor is most probably right about the sign off date because he has much more better sources than me and he has leaked so many builds, but I still have high expectations that the leak will be somewhere on 17th to 20th of July. Well this is one long post. Please keep in mind that I said the leak and not the sign off.

I know jamez3b is in NZ, and I am in Australia, now I had thought both those places lead the world in time zones, but where the heck are you that JULY 20 has already passed

I am talking about the sign off. Sign of actually means the date that Microsoft compiles it. It could leak anytime. Even next month.

It will leak when it leaks. It could be the same day as it is signed off or it can be the next day or next month......Patience as the RTM will not be too much different than what we are now using.

I agree with Gary on this one. The builds we are already using will be very similar to RTM, especially GUI wise. Although I'm also anxious about it's signoff/leak, I'm not expecting anything different between RTM and the build I'm currently using 7201., except some backend modification to the coding.

I agree, this time they will only be fixing all the minor bugs and giving it the final touch.
